THE GAME

Sports Specific Training

What is sports specific training, well it's putting your strength, speed and mobility to good use! Working elements of training that will enhance your performance and your ability to recover better. For example Strength training may include a lunge where sports specific elements such as plyometric and acceleration will change the way we work and perform that lunge.

There will be many trainers out there that claim to have played pro sport and trained at an elite level unfortunately a quick trip to Google will filter those out before you go much further. My collective team have either played at the top level or worked with it.

The sports specific advice and training programs here have been put together from the experience of over almost 20 years of pre seasons and seasons with top professional sports and athletes.

I have worked with Premier footballers, International Cricketers, World Champion Free runners, Olympic Ice Skaters to name but a few.

Sports Nutrition

Sports nutrition

Whether you are a competitive athlete training for the Olympics, a recreational athlete, a weekend warrior looking to have a little fun, or someone who is exercising to stay in shape, a scientifically-based sports nutrition program can help you get the edge you need for peak performance and optimum health.

Many scientific studies have examined how sports nutrition practices and sports supplements help boost physical performance.

Of course, all athletes need to follow the general rules of healthy eating, but they also need to modify their dietary intake of certain nutrients to enable them to achieve maximum performance in their particular sport. For example, an endurance athlete needs different amounts of macronutrients then a strength or power athlete.

Altitude Training

For mountaineering

As you climb higher, the air gets thinner. Each lungful at altitude gives you less oxygen so your body has to work harder to maintain the supply. To successfully reach the heights you need to pre-acclimatise your body to better cope with the lower oxygen levels at altitude.

For sport and health

Altitude training is ideal preparation for maximising your personal performance. We can increase your endurance, speed and improve your recovery. We can also assist in rehabilitation following injury.

Research shows that elite level athletes see about a 3% improvement in performance. The more unfit you are the greater the results. Altitude training is a form of adaptive medicine that can be used to assist with a variety of conditions.

Improving your oxygen efficiency is scientifically proven to assist medical conditions, as well as helping you to lose weight. Skin rejuvenation and general wellbeing are also improved.
